How does a weekend away sound? How about one that doesn’t incorporate hours of traveling, and instead is just around the corner (think staycation)?
Think of sitting by the pool, in your own cabana, sipping your favorite beverage. Maybe you’ll indulge in a spa treatment or lounge by the open flames near the fire-pit. In the evening, you can treat yourself to Asian-fusion cuisine or some Tex-mex.
Now what if we told you, you didn’t have to go very far to reach a luxurious destination spot where all this is possible? Well, the Renaissance Hotel & Resorts at Legacy West has you covered.
The 15-story, 304-guest room hotel will feature a modern, upscale design and will include more than 26,000 sq. ft. of conference and meeting space. With a high-energy lobby and bar, “Texas Tea” gourmet market, on-site Asian-fusion restaurant, and a third-floor amenity deck with a swimming pool, bar, concierge lounge, fitness center, and event space, the hotel was designed to be a destination unto itself!
Designers of the hotel are said to have blended the best of Texas with Asian sensibility to create a ‘West of Zen’ retreat for travelers. They promise that guests will feel at home in the new hotel, which will come complete with features such as a glass-walled grand ballroom full of natural light and guest rooms inclusive of Asian-inspired baths.
Michael Strohmer, architect with HKS, describes the hotel’s design as a play on the character of the plains of Texas. “The hotel embodies wide-open spaces and illustrates the natural movement of the elements across the land. This is expressed through a grand and lively lobby space which provides the perfect atmosphere to mix and mingle. In addition, water and fire features and natural materials are used throughout to really anchor the East meets Southwest vibe.”
With all this wonderful atmosphere and luxury, we McCoys are definitely going to check this hotel out! We hope you do as well, and if you do, would love to hear from you about your experience!
