You know you’re in the big league when Sprinkles cupcakes, the company that started the cupcake craze, has made a custom cupcake to celebrate its opening in your area. The off-the-menu cupcake features a chocolate cake topped with caramel frosting and garnished with a custom sugar decoration. This absolutely delicious sounding cake has been created to commemorate the opening. On a side note folks: Make sure and have your cameras ready when you buy one as we McCoys would love to see your pictures! You can email them to us or check out our facebook page to share.
Now a commemorative cupcake has us excited about the opening of Sprinkles, but what really gets us looking forward to the grand opening on May 31 is the ATM Machine that dishes out cupcakes! We’re not kidding…this actually dishes out fresh, delicious cupcakes. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What a time to be alive!!
We think, Candace Nelson, founder of Sprinkles and judge on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars., can describe the concept much better than we can since after all, her company invented it. Check out this video about the very first cupcake ATM:
History of the Company
Sprinkles Cupcakes started in Beverly Hills, California and the history of the company is a rich one and we’re not just talking about the cake batter. The rich and famous celebrities flocked to Sprinkles after it opened. The quality of the cupcakes, their freshness and incredible blend of flavors are the stuff of legends. Add to this the fact that Sprinkles has been able maintain the consistency of quality that made them famous and it’s no wonder that it’s such an incredible success story.
You can order cupcakes in flavors such as peanut butter chocolate, cuban coffee, vanilla milk chocolate and there’s even a doggie cupcake so your four-legged friends won’t feel left out of the enjoyment. Sprinkles in Legacy West will not only serve cupcakes, it will also serve ice cream and cookies. Ice Cream flavors are listed as rocky road, cookie dough and mango sorbet. Examples of cookies are: chocolate chip, peanut butter pretzel chip and there’s also a chocolate brownie. Flavors change monthly so be sure to check out their website (sprinkles.com) before you go.
To ensure the high quality of their cupcakes in Texas (locations in Austin, Huston and Now DFW) , and to support Sprinkles expansion, the company has even moved its warehouse operations from Los Angeles, California to Farmer’s Branch, Texas.
“We are thrilled to continue to expand our reach in the Dallas metroplex with this opening at Legacy West,” said Candace Nelson, “After great success with the Dallas bakery, our third one overall and the first out of state, we look forward to bringing our fourth Texas location to Legacy West. We’ve also further committed to the Southwest region by moving our warehouse operations to Farmer’s Branch. We love Texas and are excited to continue to grow our reach in the Lone Star State!”
Our sentiments exactly, Candace Nelson!
