It was bite heard around the world. The front doors have opened to what has been a long awaited debut of the food hall open kitchen dining concept called Legacy West Food Hall. The Food hall is a fantastic gathering space for food, beverage and culture lovers of all kinds. Legacy Hall is a chance to immerse oneself in the sights, smells, sounds, and tastes of North Texas by presenting a collection of culinary experts who are passionate about turning each meal into an experience.
One picture, one post, one description will never be able to sufficiently explain the concept of what Legacy Hall is and/or cover everything that Legacy Hall has to offer and enjoy.
This is a place that will always have something new to offer by a different food artisan with a brand new creation on any given day.
So how do we keep up? Well, one bite at a time of course.
We McCoys will feature on our blog a different foodie artisan in Legacy West, every Wednesday, as we either hear about them or experience them for ourselves. We’ll help you keep you up-to-date on all that’s new and happening on this wonderful new concept in food, entertainment and dining that is Legacy Hall.
It’s a delicious job, but someone has to do it.
The first place we’re going to cover is the craft brewing company and entertainment spot located on the top floor of Legacy Hall.
Unlawful Assembly Brewing
Located on the third floor of the Hall is Unlawful Assembly Brewing Company (UABC for those of us in ‘the know’). UABC is Legacy Hall’s cutting-edge craft brewery dedicated to brewing the highest quality, tastiest and most creative craft beers found anywhere. They offer a wide range of premium styles available year-round, along with a rotating tap selection of highly creative, collaborative and seasonal beers. Every beer they produce is bold in flavor and designed to pair with the diverse flavors found downstairs in Legacy Hall.
So, long story short, they have designed their beers to go with everything from sushi to waffles, from steak to naan to tacos.
There’s also six premium beer styles that will be available all year round, alongside a constantly rotating selection:
Idol Time: Passion Fruit Pineapple Wheat – In this unfiltered wheat ale, fermented with tart tropical fruits, we celebrate the times we can’t remember and the friends we won’t forget.
Peacemonger – You can defuse any tense situation with a little diplomacy and the right beer, especially one as agreeable as the European-style Pilsner. It’s a crisp and slightly malty beer with a spicy, noble hop finish.
Rebel Faction – Rise up! This Saison’s floral aroma, fruity and earthy flavors and subtle tartness will be the antidote for conformity.
Public Dissent – This refreshingly crisp grapefruit and piney hop-flavored pale ale with caramel undertones stands up against the mainstream.
The Antagonist – With a medium body, balanced caramel-like flavor and a dry finish, this beer is one that everyone will enjoy.
Blind Justice IPA – West Coast meets Texas. A blend of six different hops makes this beer an amber slice of heaven. The mouthwatering IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of Mosaic, Citra, Cascade, Centennial, Amarillo and Magnum hops, balanced by a perfect level of malt body.
Let’s get this straight, there are 6 year-round brews with every changing brews designed to go with all the flavors in downstairs Legacy Hall. Now that is no small feat! It almost sounds…like a challenge.
But that seems to be the attitude at UABC, they are who they are and they make no apologies for it. This sounds like a fun atmosphere for a party.
The tap room within the brewery seems an ideal gathering place for beer lovers, foodies and people looking to enjoy the sights and sounds of a working brewery while hanging out with friends. The UABC Tap Rom hosts acoustic live music shows in a cozy, intimate setting.
Just check out their Facebook (@Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co) page and you can see their calendar is already booked with great entertainment.
Tours and tastings will be offered at Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co., and the brewery’s Tap Room will be available for private events and parties.
